High End 2015: VPI Nomad is back

Tune-0737

HE15_Logo_GB_01VPI’s Mat Weisfeld was on hand to unveil the new Nomad, VPI’s all-in-one turntable solution that was discontinued last year after a brief run.

A new tonearm, borrowed from the Scout Jr, joins a removable headphone amplifier section (with drop-in partners/solutions to be announced as they become available). The integrated phono pre — this is still an all-in-one — is now defeatable, for those looking to upgrade their “integrated” solution over time. Speaking of upgrades: The aluminum platter from the Scout line is also available as a drop-on tweak. Fancy platter mats are also now available.

Pricing is still near to $1k US. More on this turntable, soon.
