The EVO has landed

Showed up this weekend, but due to circumstance which completely got away from my control, I haven’t been able to do much with it.

Got it wired in, using the wall-wart power supply, a loaner hi-fi USB cable, and a Blue Jeans XLR cable.

Drivers were simple — download, unzip, install, reboot and I was good to go. No pops, hiss, crackle or drop outs which marred my first M2Tech experience some months ago when I got the HiFace.

My Alpha sees the signal coming from the EVO, and I’m now finally able to enjoy 24bit/192kHz digital playback.

Right now, I have the system running a loop of hi-res files. Going to give it a day or three and then see what’s what.

More to come!
