New at CES: some Perspective from Joseph Audio

It’s probably no secret by now that I’m a big fan of Joseph Audio. So, the news that there’s a new upscale stablemate for the Pulsars is great stuff. So, here’s the new Perspective from Joseph (courtesy of Stereophile):

Perspective

This is yet another speaker I suspect will be under-reported by the audio media. Nevertheless, I am undaunted — Command Performance A/V will be getting a pair in shortly, so I’ll have an opportunity to muck about with it at some point in the near future.

This speaker looks to be a replacement for the retired RM33 speaker, and will sit squarely in between the Pearl2 and the Pulsars. I suspect that it’ll be more Pulsar than Pearl2, but you never know. In an email, Jeff Joseph indicated to me that his Perspectives will have bass reach down into the low-mid 30Hz region (the Pearl2s reach down another 10Hz+), which puts it in the the normal range for a midsized floorstander. As of now, there are no further details on the Perspective’s home page, but I’m sure that’ll sort out shortly.

MSRP is supposed to be around $12k.
