Art Deco? Sign me up. I do like the design of the Audio Power Labs amplifiers, whose motto “Our Tubes Are Bigger Than Your Tubes” can be challenged by only one manufacturer that I can think of. The giant 833TNT ($175k/pair) monos, demoed here with some Kaiser Kawero loudspeakers, have been updated with a new transformer to bring the input impedance up to a more preamp-friendly 20k ohms over their single-ended inputs. A Brinkmann turntable, Wadax phono stage, SMC preamp and Entreq power conditioner filled out the rack.
