I actually had a good time with the Stereophile chaps this weekend (shh!). Had a tasty lunch with Michael Lavorgna and Stephen Mejias on Friday, and pretty much chased Ariel Bitran around all weekend. Okay, “chased” is strong. “Tripped over” might be more accurate — he was toting this big camera around and stopping attendees (and exhibitors) in the halls and asking … well, actually, they were fair questions. The answers he got, well, lets just say some folks took them more seriously than others. And then there were the clearly insane folks who’d had too much/not enough caffeine. Tsk, tsk. I mean, seriously, what was the deal with the guy talking about lasers and fondling his camera lens. Weird.
