RMAF 2013: Rise of the Geek

Found Light Harmonic‘s Gavin Fish showing off the Geek, a tiny computer-based double-DSD-capable DAC!

Still pre-production, but Gavin is pretty psyched. The crowd-sourcing approach has netted them thousands of sales — and there’s still more in store for this NoCA company. Stay tuned for all that.

As for the Geek, this will be hitting shelves — in volume! — in January. Just remember, Kickstarter green is only for those early adopters, so if you haven’t gotten in you’re SOL. That said, there’s a ton of other sweet colors available ….

Me? I have two of ’em on the way. Can’t wait.

    • I’m a dork. I ordered an extra. One “regular” and one “super-duper”. I don’t know why. Total impulse buy. I may raffle one of them off. Or not.
