This just into my mailbox this morning (which is dirty as well, but that’s another story).
The great people at Zu Audio are having another of their legendary Dirty Weekends, and this time it’s all about the Zu Omen Mk.II. The photo above is of Zu’s Druid Mk.IV in all it’s Ruby Obsession splendour at Newport Beach last year, and below is the Omen MkII, which unfortunately I don’t have a picture of, so this one from Zu will have to suffice (Thanks Zu!).

What’s a “Dirty Weekend?” Well, it involves built-to-order, but only when refurbished drivers are available, and this particular Dirty one involves the Omen Mk.II, albeit built without a few of the most fancy bits, and pieces in order to keep the prices down without sacrificing performance. So basically it’s a chance to get your hands on the Zu Omen you’ve always wanted, but at a factory-discounted price.
From Zu Audio:
“There will be two, maybe three production runs of Omen DW (Dirty Weekend) Mk.II this year, this is our first. This sale ends Saturday, possibly sooner as quantity is limited. Orders coming in today will begin shipping April 15, complete with 600 hours of factory burn in—we just completed the drivers and we’re loading up the burn-in rack.”
- Omen Dirty Weekend now features the same nanotech full-range driver and super-tweeter as the standard Omen Mk.II (and they are not refurbished drivers). This new mark-two version of Omen Dirty Weekend will only be offered as production allows, two, maybe three times per year.
- One year 100% trade-in allowance.
- 60-day 100% satisfaction guarantee and we pay return shipping.
- Flat-rate $80 UPS Ground shipping within the contiguous U.S.
