Turntable manufacturer Dr. Feickert Analogue – the brainchild of Dr. Christian Feickert – based out of the Black Forest area in Germany is getting some new light shed on it’s lineup thanks to a deal recently inked with MoFi Distribution. Feickert’s designs have gained a following over the last 15 years for their uncoloured sound, transparency, and (in my opinion) effortless musicality. I’ve heard all three models at various trade shows, and am a genuine fan of his designs, in particular the Blackbird which I feel strikes a remarkable balance between performance, and price. Feickert also produces one of the best protractors for setting up a turntable that’s available in his Universal Protractor, which now handles Stevenson, along with Lofgren and Baerwald geometries, and arms up to a whopping 440mm (!!!) in length.

From the press release:
MoFi Distribution proudly announces the addition of the Dr. Feickert Analogue brand to their product lineup. The Dr. Feickert brand features three unique turntables: Woodpecker ($4,995 USD, $6,720 CAN), Blackbird ($6,995 USD, $9,420 CAN), and Firebird ($19,995 USD, $26,930 CAN).
Dr. Feickert Analogue was founded in 2002 by Dr. Christian Feickert, a music lover and choir singer with a PhD in Physics/Chemistry. The brand is currently available in over 30 countries. Owning countless record players since the age of 13, he became acutely aware of the common flaws to various turntable designs. Consequently, he sought out to create a perfect turntable design in the tradition of “Black Forest Craftsmanship,” whereby a product should last a lifetime.
MoFi Distribution and Dr. Christian Feickert are ecstatic about this new partnership, anticipating considerable long term results. This represents another stepping stone in the continued growth of the analog audio market in North America and will prove highly beneficial to all of MoFiDistribution’s partners. Together they envision several new and provocative products from the Dr. Feickert Analogue brand in the not too distant future.
Agree, have heard them over many years and they are one of the few that do justice to old worn out records and a great effortless musicality. Want one.
