There’s big, and then there’s BIG.
While details are still coming, and there’s nothing yet on the PS Audio website, regarding specifications or pricing, Bill Leebens, PS Audio’s Director of Marketing, intimated that the brand new PS Audio P20 Power Regenerator announced this afternoon is in an entirely different weight class compared to the previous flagship P10 which tipped the scales at 73 lbs. The P20 features an all-new touch screen LED panel on the front fascia, and massive handles for rack-mount applications. Performance gains all-round seem to be the order of the day with the new model, which came about in part by demand in the Asian markets, according to Leebens.
The P20 – like the P10 – sports four high-current outlets, but instead of the six standard outlets that the P10 is equipped with, the P20 boasts 12 of them. I have a P10 in my reference system, and use it for every review I do that requires juice, and with my gear-review workload at the moment my unit is maxed-out for available outlets… so the P20’s extra six will be a welcome addition indeed for those in high-end audio or working professionals.
Look for more information to follow as details about the unit are released, and I’ll be up close, and personal with the two P20s scheduled for debut at RMAF next week. Until then the release from PS below will have to suffice.

PS Audio created the category of home power regenerators with the release of the P300 in 1997. Since that time the company has continued to pioneer methods of improving the quality of power provided to home audio systems. The P20 Power Plant is the next step in power regeneration, offering lower distortion, lower output impedance, more output devices, and greater current capacity than any product on the market. The P20 also features a unique new graphical user interface (GUI) which provides more information on both input and output signals than ever before.
A pair of P20s will be featured in an extraordinary system in the Spruce One room at RMAF 2017, and will be demonstrated by PS Founder/CEO Paul McGowan. The source will be the DirectStream Memory Player (DMP), feeding the DirectStream DAC, BHK Signature Preamplifier, and a pair of BHK Signature 300 Amplifiers. Speakers will be the Focal Sopra No. 3, along with a pair of REL 212/SE subwoofers. AC power cords will be by PS Audio, and interconnects are by MG Audio Design. All stands and racks will be provided by Fin Art.
At the show, PS will give away a Stellar Gain Cell DAC and matching Stellar S300 Power Amplifier, valued at $3,198 USD. Registration for the drawing will be in the exhibit room.
PS Audio will host informal receptions in Spruce One with beer and wine at the end of the show-day, Friday and Saturday.
