RMAF 2018: New dates and venue announced for 2019

RMAF Showrunner Marjorie Baumert had a big announcement for us last night: The Rocky Mountain Audio Fest is moving.

The sixteenth RMAF will be held at the new Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center. The new hotel features, apparently, larger demo rooms (hooray), better amenities, and is also significantly closer to the Denver airport.

Also new for the 2019 show: new dates!

With all the kerfuffle around AXPONA dates recently, this idea of a move is no longer exactly shocking, but this shakeup was nevertheless unexpected (at least by me). The new dates for RMAF will be the first full weekend in September, the 6-8. Rumor has it (better still, Marjorie said) that they are “looking at adding an ‘industry day’ also”, which would precede RMAF by one day. More on that as it develops.

RMAF 2018 kicks off today. Be sure to check in regulary for all the goodies.

  1. Hi Scott,

I don’t know if Marjorie took her new dates into consideration with CEDIA being the following week? For manufacturers, and Dealers, who attend CEDIA – RMAF dates are very challenging. Dealers, along with manufacturers, will not have time to take away from their schedule to attend both shows, or at least the manufacturers who generally partake in both shows like us at Paradigm & Anthem. Dealers who partner with manufacturers will find that extremely challenging as well and I have to believe that that will leave the majority out of attending RMAF. I never got a chance to speak to Marjorie about that and don’t know if anyone mentioned CEDIA to her, but seems like the weekend she’s wanting to do the 2019 show is a major conflict…?

    Thanks,
    Chris Sipes
