I thought the show really very good. Run very professionally, far better than a “first effort”. I can only hope they can muster the energy to do it again next year. All the exhibitors I talked to had only good things to say about how well this show was run. The show had the same good vibe that is often attributed to Gary Gill and Capital Audiofest. There was really a great cross-section of large and small audio companies, even a couple of guys just showing off what they built to get a public reading for possible production. This can only happen at small regional show and was very refreshing.
I understand that this property was a converted condominium, which may explain the good sound that I found in all the rooms. The slightly larger listening rooms, separated by sound-deadening concrete walls could only help. I really did no critical listening because I had to concentrate on the photography (and my meager attempt at writing), but I did not hear anything that I could complain about.
So as snow, sleet, cold rain hit Baltimore this week, I am certainly looking forward to another sunny, warm few days in Florida next February.
Really nice photographs Paul.
