The Florida Audio Expo only one week away! | FLAX 2020

TAMPA, FL (PTA) — The Florida Audio Expo (FLAX) is an intimate show by comparison to behemoth shows like Axpona and Rocky Mountain Audio Fest, but it’s these regional shows that tend to be my favourite for that reason. Not as sprawling as the big shows, but definitely offering one of the highest quality experiences in audio.

Overall, things should feel a little more laid back at FLAX 2020 in part due to the weather, but also for it being the kick-off of the audio show season. With many new product debuts happening, the exhibit staff will be willing to connect and engage more. Shows of this ilk allow attendees to linger in exhibit rooms a little longer, and do less walking, without the fear of missing out on other rooms.

A Break From The Cold

It’s been a cold winter throughout most of the continental U.S., with only a few regions escaping the crippling winter storms. What better a time for the warm relief of sunny skies that Tampa, Florida will provide. Where else would you rather be in February? After much anticipation, the return of the highly successful Florida Audio Expo has arrived.

Countdown to Florida Audio Expo 2020: One Week!

Tampa, FloridaFlorida Audio Expo 2020 happens next week, Friday–Sunday, February 7–9, at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Tampa Airport Westshore. Free admission grants access to 66 exhibitors—up from last year’s total of 41. Many of these exhibitors will unveil new products, giving attendees the opportunity of being among the first to experience some of the best high-performance audio equipment—electronics, loudspeakers, turntables, headphones, and more—from all over the world.

Qobuz returns as the FLAX’s official streaming service, and David Solomon, Chief Hi Res Evangelist, Qobuz USA, will host his famous Flash DJ sessions throughout the show. Solomon says that “These sessions provide listeners with a great opportunity to experience Hi-Res sound quality (up to 24-bit/192kHz) and learn why Qobuz is making such a positive impression in the high-end-audio world. We are thrilled to be the official streaming service for the second year in Florida.”

“We are so thrilled with the attendee registration for this event, and Eventbrite shows Saturday as sold out for pre-registration,” says Bart Andeer, co-founder and operations manager of the Florida Audio Expo. “Our area boasts a strong market mix of music lovers and luxury consumers, and the support and interest for our show has been tremendous.”

Again, there is no cost to attend FLAX 2020; however, attendees are encouraged to register in advance, so that we can ensure that Expo 2020 doesn’t exceed the hotel’s maximum daily capacity. See registration link here. Note: Saturday is already at full capacity.
