Montreal Audiofest 2020 postponed due to banned public gatherings of 250 or more by order of Quebec Government | BREAKING

MONTREAL (PTA) — The Salon Audio Montreal Audiofest 2020 has been postponed due to order of the Government of Quebec and their ban on public gatherings of 250 or more people. The ban on gatherings takes effect immediately.

This ban was enacted by government officials due to recent swelling of reported COVID-19 cases, and is seen as a necessary arresting measure against the continued spread of the coronavirus.

This is a developing story and we will keep you updated as further information arrives.

Although we approve this wise decision, it is with sadness that we welcome the decision of the Government of Quebec to limit or ban public gatherings of over 250 people in Quebec until further notice.

We all invested time and money in this project and just like you and the visitors we were really excited as we approached the Audiofest.

It is too early to say whether the event will be postponed or canceled, we are working with the Bonaventure hotel to see the remaining possibilities for 2020.

A decision will be announced by the end of the month.

Thanks for your trust and confidence.
