Monitor Audio and Roksan brought a really sleek and modern looking system to Audio Advice LIVE 2022. Showcasing the new Attessa series of components from Roksan, and pairing up with Monitor Audios Silver 300 7G loudspeakers. Rounding out the display, power control from Audioquest, and rack by Salamander Designs.

The Attessa Turntable
Roksan launched the Attessa Turntable as part of the Attessa series, as which you’ll see in this report also includes the Attessa Streaming Amplifier and Attessa CD Transport.
The only thing “Attessa” that’s missing from this display is the Atessa Integrated, which is just the same as the Streaming Amplifier, sans BluOS.
The Attessa Turntable features a Unipivot tonearm, created with computer-aided modelling. Eschewing a more complex multi-axis design. The motor speed is micro-processor controlled for better rotational accuracy, and the included (built-in) Moving Magnet Phono Stage is defeatable for use with outboard electronics. Unpack, set the tracking force, plug in, and you’re ready to play for just $1,799 USD

The Attessa Electronics

These are some of the sexiest electronics on display at the show. The CD Transport is sleek and aesthetically the perfect companion for the Streaming Amplifier. If I had one complaint, it is that they are not coming home with me after the Audio Advice LIVE weekend.
The Streaming Amplifier includes (5) digital inputs, and (3) analog inputs, one of which is assigned to phono duties with moving magnet support and grounding.
The Monitor Silver
The Monitor Audio Silver 300 7G (now in its 7th Generation) feels refined at just $2,850 a pair USD.
The Silver 7G series feature C-CAM drivers all-around, Gold Dome tweeters with waveguides, RST cone material shaping for midrange and bass drivers, rear ports, and real wood veneers. There’s plenty to be happy with in the Monitor Audio Silver series and at the show with Roksan at the helm it was proven that one could have an outstandingly capable and modern looking hi-fi system for little outlay.
If there’s one thing I could say that took me by surprise with the Silver 300 7G while listening, it was the driver integration. Generally with three-way designs you need first order crossovers, and physical time alignment. But I would bet none of that is going on here, and somehow the driver units still play with solid harmony. Spooky!
