After Hours with Dave McNair & Acora Acoustics

On Friday, November 11th, at 8pm in the Eisenhour Conference Room, our own Dave McNair, high-end reviewer and The Ivory Tower columnist, will play the ringmaster of a super special vinyl exploration event hosted by Acora Acoustics and friends.

As many longtime PTA readers will know, Dave McNair is a mastering engineer, but what you may not know is that he’s worked in the music industry as a recording engineer and producer as well. Dave is a music industry giant. He’s worked with big-time names like Bob Dylan, David Bowie, Prince, Bruce Springsteen, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Patti Smith, Los Lobos, Willie Nelson, Rod Stewart, Maroon Five, The Doobie Brothers, The Police, Philip Glass, Beck, Cindy Lauper, and Miles Davis. And that’s just to name a few.

Dave’s famous “Tales from The Console” are to die for. He is in fact a humble man, so when a story is being told, the celebrity name drops aren’t done in any sort of pretentious way, as these tales are just the recounting of another day on the job.

This is a mandatory event for all audiophiles and show attendees. Absences will go on your permanent record.

Just kidding! But, you would be foolish to pass up the opportunity to listen to classic records while Dave McNair—a thirteen-time Grammy winning mastering engineer—unearths real insider knowledge about vinyl, recording, mastering, and the album creation process. His vinyl storytime events are as educational as they are entertaining. An event not to be missed.
