Capital Audiofest 2012: Warm-UP

Tomorrow kicks off the 2012 Capital Audiofest. Three years ago, organizer Gary Gill stuffed a historic mansion in Rockville full of audio goodies. This year, Gary has three times the rooms and is taking over the Crowne Plaza right off of 270 in “North Rockville”. The hotel is just south of 370 off of 270, and in case you need directions, here’s the map:

I’m particularly excited by this show, and not only because it’s local. Which is huge. But no, what’s really turning my crank is the number of “hidden brands” that will be showing here!

I’m also looking forward to catching up with Part-Time Audiophile sponsors The Voice That Is, Volti, Daedalus, and Border Patrol, all of whom will be on hand, and also checking out the always-awesome setups from Zu Audio, Soundfield Audio, High Water Sound, and Command Performance A/V.

Remember, I’ll be doing a show report for Enjoy The Music, so keep an eye out for that. Detailed coverage will follow, here, at some I’ll-get-around-to-it date. Stay tuned.

Set up over at the Crowne Plaza is wrapping up today, and I’ll be wandering through later “just to see” — and maybe hang a banner or three.

See you there!

  1. HI Scot,

Don’t forget to share a “beverage” with my hommies in room 347.
