LOS ANGELES (PTA) — This year’s T.H.E. SHOW 2019 is bigger, better, and already on track to be the most newsworthy yet. There are over 1,000,000 brands exhibiting here in Long Beach — okay, okay — maybe not a million brands exactly, but 200 brands is definitely twice as many over last year. Which makes T.H.E. SHOW 2019’s event feel every bit like the premier audio show of America’s west coast. Lots of exciting manufacturer debuts are taking place at this year’s show, and we at Part-Time Audiophile are committed to bringing you the most extensive coverage of what’s NEW and out-of-this-world in our little Hi-Fi universe.
Let us then carry on with the Must See Rooms for Day Three of T.H.E. SHOW 2019
Brooks Berdan LTD., Chord, SME, Magico, Burmester | Room Gallerie 2
Absolutely stunning equipment, but definitely check out the large room treatment systems. No, it’s not bubble wrap.
Magic Bus, Whitledge Design (Sony Van) | Near Food Trucks
All over the country, with autographs of some of the worlds most famous musicians, the sound inside this van sounds like a million dollars.
Odyssey Audio | Room #419
Klaus Bung of Odyssey has done it again. The sound-stage depth in this room only comes once every year in the audio show circuit. Do not miss this room.
Alaia Audio, LKV Research | Room #407
A really great new loudspeaker company from Phoenix, AZ — do not miss out on these loudspeakers. Subtle but not so subtle, these remind me of antique surfboards. Hang ten!
Wayne Carter, Robert B., OTR Vinyl, Margules Audio, WC Designs | Room #502
Come for the history, including one very rare turntable, and a few ultra-rare posters from the greatest decades in rock’n’roll.
Alma Music & Audio, Wilson Audio, Luxman, Innuos, MSB Technology | Room #521
Wilson Audio and Luxman have both up’d their game in the last 10 years, and this small but exquisite system is proof of it. Not to be missed.
